Item 8.01 - Other Events.
On May 18, 2020, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Park National Corporation approved the branch office closure plans for 2020 presented to them by management of The Park National Bank. The plans entail closing a total of 21 branch offices of The Park National Bank, in addition to two branches closed earlier in 2020, located across thirteen counties in Ohio and one in North Carolina, by the end of 2020. In aggregate, the closure of these 23 branch offices is expected to result in annual operating expense savings of approximately $6.5 million. Additional information regarding the branch office closure plans for 2020 is included as Exhibit 99.1, which information is incorporated herein by reference.
