Section 8 – Other Events
On March 23, 2020, Sanderson Farms, Inc. (the “Registrant”) issued a press release reporting that one of its employees at its McComb, Mississippi processing plant had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The Registrant took immediate steps to protect the health and safety of its employees, including identifying individuals in the positive employee’s work area who could be at risk, and sending those employees, along with the infected employee, home to self-quarantine with pay. The Registrant’s other actions in response to this development are discussed in the release, which is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report and is incorporated by reference in this report.
