On February 20, 2008, Cadence Design Systems, Inc. issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $500 million of its common stock, effective immediately. This new repurchase program is in addition to the amount remaining under Cadence’s previous repurchase authorization. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
