Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On January 17, 2010, the Company executed a three-year agreement with Daramic, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Polypore, Inc., (the "Agreement"), for the supply of a majority of Exide’s demand for polyethylene separators. The Agreement provides Exide with the flexibility to multi-source its polyethylene separator needs. The Agreement expires on December 31, 2012 and may be renewed annually thereafter, unless either party provides notice of termination at least six months prior to expiration of the initial term or any renewal term thereafter.
