On March 17, 2008, Norwood H. Davis, Jr., notified the Board of Directors of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company (the “Company”) that he will not stand for re-election as a director of the Company when his current director term expires as of the Company’s next Annual Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled to be held on May 6, 2008. Mr. Davis, 68, who retired as Chairman of Trigon Healthcare, Inc. in 2001, is looking forward to devoting more time at his home outside of Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Davis has been a director of the Company since 1994. The Company wishes to express its appreciation to Mr. Davis for his many years of service to the Company.
