Item 8.01 Other Events.
On May 18, 2020, Heron Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has initiated a Phase 1b/2 clinical study in patients undergoing bunionectomy of HTX-034, Heron’s next-generation product for the treatment of postoperative pain (the “Press Release”). The study initiation follows clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the Company’s Investigational New Drug application for HTX-034 for the treatment of postoperative pain. A copy of the Press Release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
