On October 6, 2006, The Genlyte Group Incorporated (“Genlyte”) announced that Mr. David M. Engelman has tendered his resignation from the Board of Directors of Genlyte effective immediately. Mr. Engelman, who has served as an independent director on the Board of Directors since 1993, is resigning as a result of health issues. He was a member of the Compensation Committee and held the position of Chairman of the Audit Committee until April 2006.
