On July 20, 2006, Lyondell Chemical Company ("Lyondell") announced that Lyondell and its partner, CITGO Petroleum Corporation, have discontinued the exploration of a sale to a third party of the LYONDELL-CITGO Refining LP partnership that operates a refinery in Houston, Texas. Lyondell's press release regarding the matter is being filed with this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
