New Hampshire Thrift Bancshares, Inc. (“NHTB” Nasdaq: NHTB) and First Brandon Financial Corporation (“First Brandon” Pink Sheets: FBDN.pk) jointly announced on May 11, 2007 that the respective shareholders of the two companies have voted to approve the previously announced merger of First Brandon Financial Corporation with and into New Hampshire Thrift Bancshares, Inc. A copy of the press release dated May 11, 2007 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
