The information in this Report, is furnished pursuant to Item 7.01 of this Form 8-K. On January 26, 2006, ACE Cash Express, Inc. (the “Company”) held its earnings conference call for the second quarter of fiscal 2006, during which the Company announced that, in light of the letter dated January 12, 2006, from the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Texas to the Texas Office of the Consumer Credit Commissioner and subject to the Company’s satisfactory completion of due diligence, the Company expects to begin offering loans that utilize the credit services organization, or CSO, business model in its company-owned stores in Texas sometime during the second half of fiscal 2006. The January 12th letter indicates that the CSO business model is a legal business model for companies that correctly apply the model.
