Item 8.01. Other Events
On April 25, 2011, Santa Fe Gold Corporation (the “Company”) issued a news release to update shareholders on the status of the Company’s transaction with Columbus Silver Corporation. The Company reported that it is continuing to use reasonable efforts to obtain a revocation of the cease trade orders against it issued by the British Columbia and Ontario Securities Commissions in 2003. Both the Company and Columbus Silver Corporation remain committed to pursuing a business combination transaction.
