Why is National City merging with MidAmerica Bank?
This merger will enable National City to bring its full range of financial products and services to more consumers and businesses throughout Chicago, Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. Customers will also have the added convenience of more National City branch locations. The combination of our two great companies will be positive for our customers and communities.
When will the merger take place?
Subject to regulatory and MAF shareholder approvals, the merger is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2007.
Will the MidAmerica Bank name change?
Yes, at the time of conversion we anticipate that the name will officially change to National City Bank.
Will my accounts change?
No, we do not anticipate any changes to existing National City accounts.
When can I begin to access my National City accounts from a MidAmerica Bank branch?
MidAmerica Bank branches will become National City branches upon conversion. At that time, you will be able to use their branches to access your accounts.
Will the bank staff remain the same?
