MERIT MEDICAL DISCUSSES
ANGLETON, TEXAS FACILITY
SOUTH JORDAN, UTAH— Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MMSI), a leading manufacturer and marketer of proprietary disposable devices used primarily in cardiology and radiology procedures, today announced that its facility located in Angleton, Texas suffered minor damage due to Hurricane Ike.
Fred P. Lampropoulos, Merit’s Chairman and CEO, said, “We were fortunate to have received only minor wind and water damage to our production facility, which will result in some production delays as power is restored, cleanup takes place and facility repairs are completed.”
Inventory was moved prior to the storm’s arrival and was unaffected. Customer shipments will resume as carrier services come online. Production was discontinued when a mandatory evacuation was ordered last Thursday.
Subject to deductibles and other restrictions, the Company is insured for property damages and business interruption.
As full assessments and evaluations are made, the Company will update when appropriate.
