On August 1, 2013, Royale Energy issued the press release which is attached to this Report as Exhibit 99.1, announcing that it has acquired an additional 5,803 acres adjacent to its existing western acreage block in Alaska and reached an agreement with Rampart Energy, Limited, to add the additional acreage to the existing development agreement upon receipt of a cash payment on the same terms.
