Section 8 – Other Events
Item 8.01 Other Events
On August 16, 2005, pursuant to Reassignment No. 3 of Receivables (the “Reassignment No. 3 of Receivables”), between Chase Bank USA, National Association, a national banking association (the “Bank”), and The Bank of New York, a banking corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of New York (the “Trustee”), the Trustee reconveyed accounts with an approximate aggregate amount of credit card receivables of $6.0 billion to the Bank.
On August 17, 2005, pursuant to Assignment No. 32 of Receivables in Additional Accounts (the “Assignment No. 32 of Receivables in Additional Accounts”), between the Bank and the Trustee, the Bank designated and pledged accounts with an initial approximate aggregate amount of credit card receivables of $5.1 billion to the Trustee.
The Bank services the receivables that are included in Reassignment No. 3 of Receivables and Assignment No. 32 of Receivables in Additional Accounts and will continue to service the accounts associated with such receivables following Reassignment No. 3 of Receivables and Assignment No. 32 of Receivables in Additional Accounts.
The management of the Bank believes that Reassignment No. 3 of Receivables and Assignment No. 32 of Receivables in Additional Accounts will have no material effect on the Chase Credit Card Master Trust (the “Trust”) or the asset backed securities issued by the Trust.
