Item 12. Results of Operations and Financial Condition
On July 29, 2003, Jones Apparel Group, Inc. issued a press release describing its results of operations for the fiscal quarter ended July 5, 2003, as well as:
- announcing the launch of the Jones New York Signature product line for Spring 2004;
- providing guidance for 2003 and 2004;
- announcing its intention to bid on Kasper A.S.L., Ltd.;
- announcing a quarterly dividend of $.08 per share;
- authorizing an additional $150 million stock repurchase program; and
- announcing the addition of Ann Reese to the Board of Directors.
