Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 19, 2014, TransEnterix, Inc. (the "Company"), announced the successful completion of four general surgery and urology lab procedures as part of its development activities for its SurgiBot system, a minimally invasive, patient-side robotic surgery system current in development. TransEnterix also affirmed its prior guidance of its intent to submit a 510(k) filing for the SurgiBot system in mid-2015. A copy of the press release is attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
