Item 8.01 Other Events.
On September 1, 2021, Asensus Surgical, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that it has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for an expansion of machine vision capabilities on the previously cleared Intelligent Surgical Unit™ (ISU™). The ISU is utilized with the Company’s SenhanceⓇ Surgical System which enables Digital Laparoscopy.
A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
