Item 5.02Appointment of Certain Officers
On March 31, 2008, Monro Muffler Brake, Inc. (the “Company”) announced the promotion of John W. Van Heel, 42, to the position of President of the Company, effective immediately. Mr. Van Heel’s employment will continue under the terms of his three-year Employment Agreement with the Company, entered into in January 2008. However, in his new position, Mr. Van Heel will receive a ten percent increase in his annual base salary.
A copy of the press release announcing Mr. Van Heel’s promotion is attached to this Current Report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
