On April 11, 2006, Stewart Enterprises, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it had regained compliance with Nasdaq’s listing standards and that the trading symbol for the Company’s Class A Common Stock will return to “STEI” at the opening of trading on April 13, 2006. A copy of this press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
