Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 12, 2009, Donald J. Meyer notified the board of trustees (the “Board”) of American Mortgage Acceptance Company (the “Registrant”) of his decision to resign from his position as a managing trustee and chairman of the Board and as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the Company, effective immediately, to pursue other business opportunities. Marc D. Schnitzer will replace Mr. Meyer as a managing trustee and chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
