ITEM 8.01 Other Events.
On September 5, 2006, HF Financial Corp. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing two transactions with Great Western Bank, including the purchase by the Company from Great Western Bank of the rights to service mortgages held by the South Dakota Housing Development Authority and Fannie Mae and the sale by the Company to Great Western Bank of three branches and their associated books of business, along with one physical location. A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
