Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On April 27, 2011, the Board of Directors of Abaxis, Inc. (the “Company”) increased the authorized number of directors of the Company from six to seven and appointed Vernon Altman to fill the vacancy created by such increase. Mr. Altman was also appointed to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
