Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers
(b) Departure of Certain Officers
On July 17, 2019, Gilead Sciences, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), announced that Gregg H. Alton will cease to serve as the Company’s Chief Patient Officer, effective as of October 4, 2019. Following such date, Mr. Alton will serve as a non-executive senior advisor to the Company through the end of the year. Mr. Alton will receive a reduced base salary for his services following October 4, 2019 based on his current base salary level and anticipated reduced hours of service and will be eligible for an annual bonus based on his 2019 service.
