ITEM 8.01 Other Events.
On January 17, 2014, ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) announced the commercial availability of Iclusig® (ponatinib) for adult patients with refractory chronic myeloid leukemia and Philadelphia-chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the United States. The Company has begun shipping Iclusig to Biologics, Inc., its exclusive specialty pharmacy, which is now receiving prescriptions for Iclusig from physicians.
