ITEM 8.01. Other Events.
On June 11, 2019, Boston Scientific Corporation (the "Company") completed its acquisition of Vertiflex, Inc. (Vertiflex) following the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. The Company previously announced the entry into a definitive agreement to acquire Vertiflex on May 9, 2019. Vertiflex is a privately-held company that developed and commercialized the Superion® Indirect Decompression System, a minimally-invasive device used to improve physical function and reduce pain in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) - the narrowing of the spinal canal, which can cause compression of nearby nerves.
