Item 8.01 Other Events.
Encysive Pharmaceuticals Inc. (the “Company”) today announced that it has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to initiate and resume clinical studies with TBC3711, the Company’s next-generation, highly selective endothelin receptor antagonist. The Company expects that clinical testing with TBC3711, including oral and intravenous formulations, will recommence during the first quarter of 2007.
