PART IITEM 1: BUSINESSGeneral As of March 1, 2002, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated (referred to herein as the “Company” or in the first person notations “we”, “us” and “our”) operated 50 upscale, full-service, casual dining restaurants under The Cheesecake Factory® mark in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington and Washington, DC. We also operated two upscale casual dining restaurants under the Grand Lux Cafe® mark in Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada; one self-service, limited menu “express” foodservice operation under The Cheesecake Factory Express® mark inside the DisneyQuest® family entertainment center in Orlando, Florida; and a bakery production facility. We also licensed three bakery cafes under The Cheesecake Factory Bakery Cafe® mark to another foodservice operator.
