Item 2.02	Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
	On May 21, 2009, Minerals Technologies Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that on May 20, 2009 its Board of Directors had declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share on the Company's common stock.  The dividend is payable on June 17, 2009 to stockholders of record on June 2, 2009.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein. The information set forth in this Item 2.02 and incorporated by reference herein from Exhibit 99.1 shall not be deemed filed for the purposes of Section 18 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, or incorporated by reference in any filings under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, except as shall be expressly set forth by specific reference in such filing.
