Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On September 5, 2008, Plains Exploration & Production Company (“PXP”) agreed to postpone the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors hearing with respect to its Tranquillon Ridge project from September 9, 2008 to October 7, 2008 to allow the County additional time with respect to its ongoing efforts regarding how royalties are shared between the state and county in the current proposed state budget. A copy of the letter is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
