Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On November 5, 2010, Plains Exploration & Production Company (“PXP”) issued a press release announcing third quarter 2010 results. The press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein. In connection with such release, PXP has prepared investor slides, which will be available on our website atwww.pxp.com under Investor Relations.
PXP’s Board of Directors has approved a $1.2 billion 2011 capital budget, including capitalized interest and general and administrative expenses. PXP plans to issue full-year 2011 operating and financial guidance at the end of this year. The 2011 guidance will reflect the impact of the previously announced Eagle Ford acquisition and Gulf of Mexico divestments.
