Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
On September 1, 2004, Action Performance Companies, Inc. issued a press release announcing the appointment of Melodee Volosin as the Company’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective August 19, 2004. Ms. Volosin, 40, previously served as the Company’s Executive Vice President – Sales since December 1999 and as a director since January 1997. Ms. Volosin served as the Company’s Vice President – Wholesale Division from September 1997 until December 1999.
A copy of this press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is hereby incorporated by reference in this Item 5.02.
