Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
(b) Effective October 2, 2008, Bernard Friebaum, Chief Financial Officer, is no longer employed by General Growth Properties, Inc. (the "Company").
(c) Effective October 2, 2008, the Company appointed Edmund Hoyt as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer on an interim basis. Mr. Hoyt, 57, has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of the Company since 2000. Mr. Hoyt has been with the Company since 1986 and has held a variety of positions in financial planning, accounting and controllership roles. Mr. Hoyt’s current annual salary is $410,000 and no modifications to his compensation arrangements have yet been made in connection with this appointment.
