ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS
On October 3, 2005, the Board of Directors of Uwharrie Capital Corp (the “Registrant”) declared a 3% stock dividend to be paid November 14, 2005 to shareholders of record as of October 20, 2005.
A copy of the press release announcing the Registrant’s stock dividend is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
