Item 2.01 COMPLETION OF ACQUISITION OR DISPOSITION OF ASSETS
On December 28, 2005, Titan Tire Corporation, a subsidiary of Titan International, Inc. (the Company) closed on its acquisition of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s North American farm tire assets. Titan Tire purchased the assets of Goodyear’s farm tire business for approximately $100 million in cash proceeds. The assets purchased included Goodyear’s plant, property and equipment located in Freeport, Illinois, and Goodyear’s North American farm tire inventory. The Company funded the acquisition with a $100 million increase in its revolving credit facility. See press release dated December 28, 2005.
