On February 21, 2013 Libbey Inc. issued a press release announcing financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2012. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On February 21, 2013, the Company announced a tentative plan to exit sales of certain glassware items, realign North American production, reduce capacity at the Company's Shreveport, Louisiana manufacturing facility and enter into decision bargaining with the United Steelworkers (USW), which represents the hourly production and maintenance employees at the Shreveport facility. Whether and the extent to which the tentative plan is finalized and implemented depends on the outcome of decision bargaining with the USW.
