1. All shares were acquired pursuant to an annual director award issued under the Alerus Financial Corporation 2019 Equity Incentive Plan.

2. Indicates the total number of shares of common stock owned directly by Mr. Lemke as of December 31, 2022.

3. 19,000 shares of common stock are held by Mr. Lemke as trustee of the Doreen D. Lemke Testamentary Family Trust. Mr. Lemke possesses sole voting and investment power with respect to these shares.
