Santiago, Chile. April 12, 2023.- Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) (NYSE: SQM; Santiago Stock Exchange: SQM-B, SQM-A) informs in response to inquiries received from the press, that SQM's contribution to the Chilean Treasury as a result of the Company’s performance during 2022 totaled US$5,063 million and is detailed as follows:
| 1. | Lease payments to CORFO for a total amount of US$3,273 million (reported in the Note 23.2 of the Consolidated Financial Statements of SQM S.A. as of December 31, 2022), and |
| 2. | Current income taxes in Chile for a total amount of US$1,790 million (reported in the Note 27.3 (g) of the Consolidated Financial Statements of SQM S.A. as of December 31, 2022). |
This amount does not include other types of taxes such as VAT, employees’ taxes, taxes paid by contractors, mining royalties, real estate contributions, stamp duty, among others.
