Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 4, 2010, The Beard Company (the “Company”) filed a Form 8-K regarding its purchase of an additional working interest in the Dilworth Field (the “Field”) in Kay County, Oklahoma.
On June 7, 2010, the Company issued a news release reporting that it has increased its interest in the Field. A copy of the news release made in connection with the purchase is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
