Item 8.01. Other Events.
Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) has been advised by John W. Casella, the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, that Mr. Casella plans to direct the sale of up to 37,500 shares of the Company’s Class A common stock owned by Mr. Casella during the remainder of this calendar year, depending on market and other conditions. Mr. Casella has informed the Company that he plans to sell the shares for tax planning purposes.
