ITEM 5. OTHER EVENTS AND REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
On June 2, 2004, Trimeris, Inc. issued a press release announcing that Dr. M. Nixon Ellis and the Company have agreed to end his employment. Dr. Ellis’ employment ends effective June 27, 2004. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
