Trimeris, Inc. (“Trimeris”) issued a press release dated November 12, 2009, a copy of which is filed as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated by reference herein, announcing its receipt of a request from counsel for Arigene Co., Ltd. and RTM Acquisition Company for Trimeris’ consent to an extension of the expiration date of the tender offer for all of the outstanding shares of Trimeris’ common stock commenced by Arigene Co., Ltd. and RTM Acquisition Company on October 19, 2009.
