ITEM 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On December 5, 2022, Monica McGurk, a member of the Board of Directors of Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company of her intention to resign from the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”) effective on December 31, 2022. Ms. McGurk indicated that her departure from the Board of Directors was not the result of any disagreement with management or the Board but was in order to more fully pursue other commitments.
