Susan B. Singer has resigned as a member of the Merrill Merchants Bancshares, Inc. Board of Directors, and all affiliate board seats, effective September 23, 2005. Her resignation is the result of retirement and relocation to Florida.
Item 8.01 Other Events
On September 16, 2005, Merrill Merchants Bancshares, Inc. issued a press release announcing a cash dividend of $.16 per share on the common stock payable October 31, 2005 to shareholders of record on October 14, 2005. The press release announcing the cash dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
