On October 4, 2010, Orthovita, Inc. announced that it received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market VITOMATRIXTM Bone Graft Substitute as a bone grafting material in certain dental procedures. VITOMATRIX is indicated for use in procedures to fill, augment or reconstruct periodontal or bony defects of the oral or maxillofacial region. A copy of the press release announcing this clearance is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
