Merger Closing Date Announcement
We are pleased to let you know that following approval by China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) we have now received all necessary shareholder and regulatory approvals required to move ahead with our proposed merger to become Qorvo. RFMD and TriQuint issued a joint press release this morning to announce this important milestone.
The anticipated closing date for the merger is December 31, 2014, which means that Day One is projected to be January 1, 2015. Because January 1 is New Year’s Day, the first day of trading in the common stock of Qorvo on the NASDAQ Global Select Market is expected to be Friday, January 2, 2015, under the stock ticker symbol “QRVO.”
Each one of us has an opportunity to shape the new Qorvo brand based on interactions with customers, suppliers, partners and our communities. Few employees get to build a brand from a clean sheet of paper, but that’s precisely what we at Qorvo will have the opportunity to do!
We will be sharing more about our exciting future together when members of our leadership team host employee meetings in early January at most of our global locations. We will provide additional information as Day One draws closer and we continue our journey to become the most valuable company in our space.
Sincerely,
Bob
