Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. Prices Common Stock Offering
SAN DIEGO, March 5, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: NBIX) today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 9,100,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $2.20 per share. The gross proceeds from the sale of the shares, before underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses, are expected to be approximately $20 million. The offering is expected to close on or about March 10, 2010, subject to customary closing conditions.
Jefferies & Company, Inc. is the sole book-running manager for this offering. Neurocrine has granted the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an aggregate of 1,365,000 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. Neurocrine anticipates using the net proceeds from the offering to fund its research and development efforts, and for general corporate purposes, including working capital.
