On December 6, 2010, Albemarle Corporation (the “Company”) announced that the Company has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Petrobras Química S.A. (the Company’s current joint venture partner in Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores S.A.) relating to the Company’s proposed plan to build a new facility for the production of hydroprocessing catalysts.
