Item 8.01 Other Events.
On January 3, 2007, Health Net, Inc. ("Health Net" or the "Company") issued a press release announcing the appointment of Linda Tiano, as the Company’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, commencing on February 1, 2007, and the appointment of Philip G. Davis, as Chief Compliance Officer. Mr. Davis has been and will continue as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Ethics Officer in addition to his new role for the Company. The press release is filed under this Item 8.01 as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference in this Item 8.01.
