On August 22, 2006, Peet's Coffee & Tea, Inc. (the "Company") announced via press the appointment of a new Board of Director member, David Deno, effective August 22, 2006. Mr. Deno will join the Board of Directors as a Class I director to serve until the 2007 Annual Meeting.
